Return & Cancellation Policy
This policy applies to all purchases made on toolbuyer.co.uk and forms part of the Terms and Conditions of First Point Midlands LTD. It does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
1. Right to Cancel / Return
If you change your mind, you may cancel your order or return items within 30 calendar days of receiving the goods, except for the items listed under Non-Returnable Items below.
2. How to Cancel / Return (Email Only)
To cancel an order or arrange a return, you must notify us by email only before the 30-day period expires so that we have written proof of your request. Please email: sales@toolbuyer.co.uk.
After we acknowledge your request, you must dispatch the goods back to us within 14 days of that email notification. We will provide the return instructions and any reference number to include inside the parcel.
3. Condition of Returned Goods
- Items must be unused, in their original packaging (including all accessories, manuals, and labels), and in a condition suitable for resale.
- You are responsible for the goods until we receive them back.
- Return postage is the customer’s responsibility except where the item is defective, damaged on arrival, or we shipped the wrong product.
4. Packaging & Protection During Return (Customer Duty)
The customer must ensure the item is properly packaged and well protected for transit. This includes using sturdy outer cartons, adequate internal padding (such as bubble wrap or void fill), and securely sealing the parcel so that the goods cannot move freely or be exposed during handling.
We recommend a tracked and insured service appropriate to the value and fragility of the goods. If items are returned damaged due to inadequate packaging or protection, First Point Midlands LTD may make a reasonable deduction from any refund to reflect the diminished value or, where appropriate, refuse the return.
5. Inspection, Deductions & Refunds
- All returns are inspected on arrival. If goods show signs of use or damage beyond what is necessary to examine them, we may apply a reasonable deduction from the refund.
- Where a return is accepted, refunds are processed within 5 business days of receipt and inspection of the goods and made to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
- Refunds include the price paid for the goods and the standard delivery charge (if applicable). Enhanced or express delivery services are non-refundable unless the goods are faulty.
6. Non-Returnable Items
- Goods made to your specification or personalised.
- Items which, for health or hygiene reasons, cannot be accepted back once unsealed (unless faulty).
7. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your item arrives damaged, is incorrect, or becomes faulty within the applicable guarantee period, please email sales@toolbuyer.co.uk with your order number, a description of the issue, and supporting photos. Where the item is confirmed faulty or incorrect, we will arrange a repair or replacement and cover return postage.
8. Additional Notes
- All cancellation and return requests must be made by email only to ensure traceability.
- Please do not send goods back before receiving return instructions.
- This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Refund Policy
This Refund Policy forms part of the Terms and Conditions of First Point Midlands LTD and applies to all purchases made via toolbuyer.co.uk.
1. Eligibility for Refund
Refunds are issued for goods that are:
- Cancelled within the applicable 30-day return period and returned in accordance with our Return & Cancellation Policy;
- Confirmed by us to be faulty, damaged or incorrect on arrival; or
- Out of stock and cannot be supplied within a reasonable time.
2. Refund Method & Timescale
All approved refunds are processed to the original payment method used for the purchase, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We will process refunds within 5 business days after the returned goods have been received and inspected, or after confirming the cancellation of an unshipped order.
Depending on your payment provider, it may take an additional 3–5 business days for the funds to appear in your account.
3. Partial or Deducted Refunds
First Point Midlands LTD reserves the right to make reasonable deductions in the following circumstances:
- The returned goods show signs of use or damage beyond what is necessary to examine them.
- Items are returned with missing parts, accessories, or original packaging.
- Items are damaged due to inadequate packaging or protection during the return transit.
In such cases, we will notify you by email with a written explanation of any deduction applied.
4. Non-Refundable Items
No refund will be issued for items that fall under the Non-Returnable Items section of our Returns Policy, unless the item is proven to be faulty or damaged upon receipt.
5. Delivery Charges
Refunds include the cost of the goods and the standard delivery charge (if applicable). Additional delivery options such as next-day or express shipping are non-refundable unless the goods are faulty or incorrect.
